Big3 Entertainment Group is a full-service, multi-faceted music company with an impressive executive team made up of experienced, hands-on industry professionals. This savvy team recognized long ago that if you want to compete with the major record labels in their industry, you have to be able to offer your artists a full range of professional services. This had been accomplished through the operations of the Big3 subsidiaries which include Big3 Records, Big3 Nashville, Big3 Studios, 2602 Sound Stage, Okie Dokie Management, Mojo Rizin Publishing and Bill Edwards Presents, Inc. Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida by William “Bill” Edwards and Lou Mann.
BIOGRAPHY
In 2000 Edwards created Florida’s newest and most innovative independent entertainment company, Big3 Entertainment Group, LLC. Bill is not only Chairman and CEO of the independent label, but he can also be found at any given time of the night or day in Big3 Studios where he co-writes, produces and mixes much of the music along with his artists. In 2005 Bill ventured into Nashville, TN, and opened Big3 Nashville, his country label, on Music Row.
In 2007, Edwards opened up 2602 Sound Stage, an impressive, state-of-the-art rehearsal stage in the heart of music city which was designed and engineered by one of Nashville’s tope music producers, James Stroud and the CEO of Big3 Entertainment Group, William “Bill” Edwards, their expertise in audio engineering makes 2602 one of the best sounding rooms in Nashville.
Bill Edwards heads an impressive team of experienced and hands on industry professionals. This remarkable list of industry executives, along with a roster of talented artists including Jon Secada, Cheap Trick, Stryper, Carnie Wilson, Dj X, Country Singer/Songwriter Joey Daniels and other artists ranging from Dance and Club favorites to R&B, in a very short period of time have put Big3 Records on the map as an independent record company with the backing and the backbone of a major label.
Big3 Records’ upcoming projects include Cheap Trick’s “Sgt. Pepper Live” DVD. After performing at the Hollywood Bowl in a reprisal of the wildly successful sold-out concerts saluting the 40th anniversary of the Beatles' seminal Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album, American pop group Cheap Trick, accompanied by the New York Philharmonic, and joined again by guest vocalists Ian Ball, of the famed British rock band Gomez and Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Rob Laufer and Joan Osborne celebrate the rock ‘n’ roll masterpiece on a DVD Cheap Trick “Sgt. Pepper Live” to be released later this year.
In addition, Big3 Records will be releasing Stryper’s new studio album “Murder By Pride” with a ground breaking new promotion, where Stryper fans will have an opportunity to purchase the album song-by-song, one week at a time, until the album’s release on July 21, 2009. “Murder By Pride” includes a cover of the BOSTON song “Peace of Mind” featuring BOSTON guitarist Tom Scholz. Stryper will also hit the road this fall with a 25th Anniversary Tour, hitting 50 cities in North America before going international in January and February 2010.
On May 20, 2008, William “Bill” Edwards, Chairman/CEO of Big3 Entertainment Group, LLC launched his concert promotion company, Bill Edwards Presents with an unforgettable, star-studded concert starring Alicia Keys, Josh Groban and John Mayer. Gathering this trio of music industry powerhouses was Edwards’ concept, as was enlisting the legendary David Foster to produce the evening which celebrated the opening of the 4,000 seat MGM Grand Theatre within the new, $700 million casino resort, MGM Grand at Foxwoods on Saturday, May 17, 2008.
