Who Is Plummet?

The Vocalist - Cheramy Burgess
Vocalist Cheramy Burgess was born in Salt Lake City, UT and due to her father's active service duty, quickly became a military brat. At a very early age, Cheramy and family moved overseas to Livorno, Italy and continued to make many moves throughout the years. They relocated to Osterholz and Mannheim, Germany and eventually to Brunssum, Holland. After her father's retirement, Cheramy and her family became permanent Florida residents. Upon graduation from high school, Cheramy began working as an on-air personality for Panama City's Hot 107.9. During a listener appreciation party at Panama City Beach's Club La Vela in December of 2000, Cheramy and Dj X had their first introduction. "Damaged" was their first collaboration and sealed the deal and set the pace for the future of Plummet.

Producer - Dj X ( Eric Muniz )
A native of New York, Dj X is today a resident of sunny Florida. Not only an established artist, DJ, producer, and remix master, Dj X is also an entrepreneur as the owner and operator of Florida-based Xquizit Records, Inc. (www.XquizitRecords.com), a record label known for "putting funky breakz on the map." In addition, he also founded and heads-up a sister label to the breaks scene entitled "The Eastern Breakz Movement" and launched the web site www.theEBM.com. Dj X, with the accompaniment of other artists on the labels and remixes, is responsible for more than fifty 12" vinyl releases between the Xquizit Records and The EBM labels. He has also released four full length CD compilations of his own, as well as 2 CD Maxi Singles including the Billboard charted CD single entitled "Use Your Luv," a remix of The Outfields 80's release "Your Love." Over the past four years, Dj X has released countless mix compilations and has spun with the likes of DJ Icey, Donald Gluade, and the UK diva Sonique, to name only a few. He has performed at many clubs and events throughout the United States and Canada, including Florida, the Carolinas, Louisiana, Boston, Georgia, and Vancouver. He frequently performs in Florida metropolitan areas such as Miami, Orlando, Daytona, Jacksonville and Tampa. Dj X continues to appear in local newspapers and has been acknowledged in many industry magazines such as DJ Times, Mixer Magazine, DMA, and Billboard receiving rave revues. The Present Sound

Plummet's "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover"
The Xquizit Dj X (Producer) once again teams up with artistically motivated dance vocalist Cheramy Burgess to form Plummet (Club Hit "Damaged" and "Cherish The Day"). Plummet's newest single breathes new life and a distinct club vibe to Paul Simon's "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover," featuring mixes by Dj X, CS-jay, Johnny Budz, MacQ and DJ Russ Harris. The single will appear on Plummet's first and highly anticipated solo project due out July 19, 2005 and will be a fabulous follow-up to the success of "Cherish The Day," featured on Dj X's Club Experience Vol. 3 mix CD.

The History

Plummet's "Damaged"
The club hit "Damaged" first appeared on the original soundtrack of the movie "Brokedown Palace" (1999) and was originally performed by Plumb. After serious musical and vocal lifting, the track was back again in Florida in 2001, performed by Plummet: a power packed duo consisting of Dj X (Eric B Muniz), producer, and vocalist Cheramy that, with this track, started their music adventure and the release of their first single. The single's success brought national and international attention to the duo. Plummet is not another one of those industry cookie cutter dance groups but truly an artistically motivated act. Inspired by Plumb, the original band, the name "Plummet" is meant to evoke the artist's approach to the music, falling deeply and rapidly into it. "Damaged," through its lyrical content and melody, is a clear example of this concept. Bringing to life a variety of mix styles and choices, the American single release had five mixes, each running from one type of music to another and the result is simply terrific. Brought overseas by Italian companies MELODICA and MOTIVO, "Damaged" was back again in 2002 with a new package of great remixes by ANTILLAS and ARCTICA, that captured the main club and Dj's attention from all over Europe. Massively supported by the likes of Judge Jules ("Tried and Tested" UK BBC Radio 1), Pete Tong, Dave Pearce ("Record of the week" on BBC Radio 1) and Tall Paul ("One to come" UK Kiss FM), Plummet's debut single "Damaged" was released in the UK on Serious/Mercury and reached No. 12 of the UK Official singles chart and No. 2 of both the Cool Cuts and the Buzz Chart.

Plummet's "Cherish The Day"
Plummet's highly anticipated follow-up to the classic debut single "Damaged." Originally as a UK Import, the song received massive support from some of the UK's Top DJ's including Judge Jules from BBC Radio 1. (The Review by Joe Rivaldo) "This is a little deeper or shall I say less commercial than the previous single. While the US release and remixes are still in the works, the UK Import comes as a two-mix single. One is the ANTILLAS REMIX, which is a little more on the commercial trance tip with luscious breakdowns and going into some break segments itself. It basically picks up where the Antillas Mix of "Damaged" left off. The other mix that is gaining most of the attention is the SORRENTINO XT Mix. This one has a really good rhythmic beat to it and has a combination of haunting vocals and sheer beauty. While this single is in the very early stages, the two mixes alone are enough to carry this to the forefront. The exciting thing about this single is waiting for the Xquizit Dj X Mix along with the new US mixes and the label that will put it out. Either way, you can't go wrong with this amazing follow up." "Cherish The Day" is the IDMA's nominee for Best Hi-NRG/Euro Track for 2004.
